The three main encounters

Bosses arrive at 3, 6 and 9 minutes. Their order is rolled at the beginning of the run. Keep a clear escape route and use the time between bosses to strengthen your active attack.

Take a rift only when ready

After the opening 75 seconds, the game starts checking for optional portals. Checks are 30 seconds apart with a 20% chance, and a living map boss prevents a new portal from opening. A portal remains for 45 seconds.

Entering a rift takes you to a closed arena with a two-minute time limit. The boss roster currently supports Normal, Ghost, Poison, Water and Flying arena types. Map enemies are set aside while the arena runs, then restored when you return.

A win brings rewards and a move-bond choice. Losing or running out of time returns you to the map with some health and no victory reward; it does not automatically end the whole run.

Prepare a build that can keep attacking

Check your active move and evolution path, compare type multipliers and consider a defensive held item before accepting an arena challenge.
