Three stages to explore and unlock

A ten-minute Poke Survivor mode built around an arsenal

Wildlands Expeditions is the stage mode at https://pokesurvivor.app/. Each run takes place in one themed map, with guardians scheduled at 3:00, 6:00 and 9:00. Defeat all three before the 10:00 limit to clear; defeating the final guardian ends the stage immediately.

The build system changes the decisions you make. All four skill slots fire automatically, each on its own cooldown. A bond can compress attacks into one slot, with one linked group of up to three and a maximum of six learned moves. Alongside your skills, carry one power item and one support item.

This follows the broader survivor-game pattern of movement, experience and an expanding automatic arsenal. The edition’s specific twist is a linked-slot build with extra resonance attacks, staged guardians and sequential map unlocks. It is not a Vampire Survivors collaboration and does not include that game’s maps, characters or equipment.

Forest, cavern and volcano: a route with repeat rewards

Forest guardians mark root-strike circles and, in later phases, beam lanes. Cavern guardians create spreading fracture lanes. Volcano encounters combine eruptions and angled beams. The themes remain fixed within a stage, with terrain generated for the run. These are three separate stages, rather than a single run that randomly jumps between them.

The next map starts at level one with a fresh skill build and empty equipment slots. Your collection, permanent upgrades, discoveries, currency and map unlocks carry forward. This reset makes room for a different build on each map. Clearing all three also awards the Wildlands Pathfinder achievement.

Failure keeps normal earnings and encounters but does not award a clear bonus or unlock the next map. First-clear bonuses are granted once per map and player profile; repeating the same receipt does not grant them again. The result panel confirms when rewards have reached your wallet and explains when a connection retry is pending.

How to turn a move bond into a resonance build

A linked slot is the foundation. To awaken one of nineteen named resonances, bond the matching pair, level both ingredients to at least 3 and equip one of that recipe’s catalyst items. The resonance adds its own attack alongside the ingredient moves. A third linked move empowers the extra attack. A generic Wild Bond can still fire when a linked group does not yet meet a named recipe.

For example, Storm Circuit combines Thunder Shock and Thunderbolt with Quick Claw. Learn and link the pair, upgrade each to level 3, then equip the catalyst. Solar Furnace and Moonlit Sanctuary support different attacking and recovery patterns. Use the full nineteen-recipe table to check ingredients rather than assuming any two attacks produce the same effect.

Power items introduce tradeoffs. Quick Claw improves cooldowns. Choice Band boosts the selected core slot by 40% while other skills deal 15% less damage; all slots still attack. Life Orb adds 30% damage with a capped, nonlethal health drain while enemies are nearby. Your support slot can add recovery, defense or a needed catalyst.

A support supply arrives after 90 seconds. The first two guardian defeats provide further equipment and bond opportunities. Look for a highlighted catalyst, then decide whether it advances your resonance or replaces an item you still need. A matching item alone does not activate a recipe if the moves are unlinked or below level 3.

The forest explains your next resonance step and warns you before guardians and marked ground attacks.

Stronger guardians reward reading the ground

Expedition guardians have more health than their classic counterparts and gain stronger attack phases. At 65% and 35% health they gain a barrier; the final phase also reduces some incoming damage. More damage is useful, but staying in a marked strike area can still end a well-built run.

The forest’s first-resonance help tracks the linked pair, both level-3 requirements and the catalyst. You can hide the help for the current run, and it stops appearing after your first forest resonance. A countdown warns before the next guardian. During a guardian fight, the reminder explains green circles and later gold lanes. These prompts teach existing attacks without changing cavern or volcano balance.

Optional diagnostics now measure the observed run funnel, frame performance, errors and reconnects. The records follow the site’s analytics privacy settings and exclude opted-out play. We will use those observations to check where players struggle before making broad balance changes.

Planned expansion: more build choices and encounter variety

Available now: three maps, nineteen resonance recipes, 66 original creatures across the game and 17 potential starting partners. The roster count includes creatures used by classic survival and Expeditions; it does not mean all 66 appear in each map.

Planned, not yet released: more original creatures across regular enemies, elites and guardians. We are not announcing an additional creature count, a final lineup or a release date. Future announcements will confirm each batch when its content is ready.

We want new enemies to introduce readable movement and attack patterns, rather than increase the roster count alone. Map identity is another direction: terrain routes, hazards and encounter pacing should make a forest build feel different from one designed for a cavern. We will test additions against performance on phones as well as desktop browsers.

For builds, the direction is more meaningful skill-and-equipment combinations, distinct resonance behavior and clearer feedback when an upgrade completes a recipe. For progression, we are considering additional stage goals and replay challenges beyond unlocking a map. These directions are not playable features yet, and there is no announced fourth map or endless expedition chain in this release.

Current work starts with the forest onboarding and diagnostic improvements. Cavern and volcano tuning will wait for a broader set of player runs. The release notes remain the place to check what has actually shipped.

Practical questions about the new mode

Can I play Expeditions with friends?

Yes, in two-player and four-player rooms. Each participant receives their own verified clear reward. The expedition leaderboard separates map and party size, while classic solo and team scores stay on their own boards.

Does a clear carry my build to the next map?

No. Map unlocks and permanent progress carry over; skill levels and equipment are rebuilt in the next stage.

Do I need to stay until exactly ten minutes?

No. Clearing the final scheduled guardian ends the stage. Ten minutes is the deadline for defeating all three.

Does seeing a guardian reveal other forms in the atlas?

No. Personal atlas entries unlock per encounter and per form. Ownership and partner selection follow their own collection rules.
